Abbey Wood Club Campsite

Federation Road, London, SE2 0LS

Despite its proximity to London, Abbey Wood feels like a green oasis thanks to its spacious grounds and mature trees which provide screening. Abbey Wood Station is just a short walk away, meaning you can be in central London in around 20 minutes on the new Elizabeth Line. Greenwich, with it's observatory and National Maritime Museum are also nearby. For a slower pace, enjoy a river cruise and see highlights such as Hampton Court, Kew and Westminster.

Aberbran Club Campsite

Brecon, LD3 9NH

A small, volunteer-run site without a toilet block on a former railway station, Aberbran offers a peaceful getaway on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Nearby Brecon has plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as a bustling twice-weekly market and the famous jazz festival. The local walking trails are great for all abilities and offer a chance to spot birds and wildlife – you can pick up an information leaflet with routes at the Mountain Centre in the National Park.

Alderstead Heath Club Campsite

Dean Lane, Redhill, RH1 3AH

Set close to the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way and surrounded by rolling, wooded countryside, this site is well-presented with a pretty reception area and shelter from tall trees. It’s a wonderful place to walk, with extensive trails leading across the North Downs and Surrey Hills. There are excellent train links into London if you want to explore the capital, and kids will love Chessington World of Adventures, while Denbies Wine Estate offers tastings and tours for wine enthusiasts.

Altnaharra Club Campsite

Lairg, IV27 4UE

Altnaharra is made for a secluded escape. On the shores of Loch Naver and 20 miles from the nearest shops, it’s a haven for bird watchers, anglers and walkers. This simple site has no toilet block, and wherever you pitch, you can enjoy stunning views of the loch and hills. Set out on a wide range of walks of varying difficulty, many of which start at the site, fly fish for free from the shores, or catch the ferry or a minibus to Cape Wrath with its spectacular lighthouse.

Ashridge Farm Club Campsite

Ashwell Street, Baldock, SG7 5QF

A short walk from the village of Ashwell with its 15th century cottages and small shops, this site is surrounded by trees and has a calm atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. It also offers good access to the undulating countryside with its network of footpaths and cycle tracks. The garden city of Letchworth is within driving distance, as is Cambridge with its grand university buildings and museums. Also visit Wimpole Hall or Duxford War museum for interesting days out.

Ayr Craigie Gardens Club Campsite

Craigie Road, Ayr, KA8 0SS

Close to the seaside town of Ayr, this site is a lovely destination for beach holidays and is near to the river Ayr. The entrance is bright with flowers in spring and summer, and tall trees provide privacy from the rest of the Craigie Estate. Ayr’s long sandy beach is a good spot for bathing, and the nearby station provides easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh. If you’re a keen golfer you’ll be spoilt for choice, as there are 40 courses in the area.

Balbirnie Park Club Campsite

Glenrothes, KY7 6NR

Attractively located within 400 acres of parkland, this site offers a range of pitches in open areas or shady glades. The park offers many miles of paths in mature woodland for those who enjoy walking or cycling. Just half a mile away in Markinch you’ll find pubs, shops, and places to eat, and the nearby train station provides links to Edinburgh. If you stay in early June, you’ll be able to enjoy the local Highland games, which take place opposite the site.

Baltic Wharf Club Campsite

Cumberland Road, Bristol, BS1 6XG

A waterside haven in Bristol’s beautifully redeveloped dockland, this site is convenient for exploring the city centre and its many attractions. It’s a small park with largely hardstanding pitches and splashes of colour added by the spring flowers and mature trees. A ferry runs to the city centre, where you can visit the Downs Park or indulge in a spot of shopping. Lots of excellent cycle paths run around the area too, offering scenic views and a dose of fresh air.

Battle Normanhurst Court Club Campsite

Battle, TN33 9LR

Set within a former garden, this beautiful site has a choice of pitches, some in open areas and others  surrounded by shrubs. There’s a distinct garden feel, with stunning Rhododendrons adding colour and magnificent trees providing shade. Walkers can pick up the 1066 trail nearby or mix activity with culture by taking a wander through the cobbled streets of Rye and browsing the antique shops. Battle has so much history to offer, with the Abbey and 1066 battlefield site.

Bearsted Club Campsite

Ashford Road, Maidstone, ME17 1XH

Gently sloping and with views of the surrounding farmland, Bearsted is well laid out with some shelter provided by tall trees. It’s a good destination for families, thanks to its proximity to lots of parks and attractions. Discover the historic Leeds Castle and its extensive grounds or visit the playground and lake at Mote Park, where you can cycle, walk or hire a boat. For a more adventurous day out, Leeds Castle also offers Segway experiences and Go Ape.

Berwick Seaview Club Campsite

Billendean Road, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1QU

The spectacular scenery of Northumberland is on your doorstep at this lovely site. Affording views of the sea and countryside, thoughtfully laid out pitches and plenty of attractions nearby, it has all the ingredients for a relaxing stay. Visit lively Berwick to explore its ruined castle and Elizabethan walls, stroll along miles of unspoilt beach or take a trip to Lindisfarne to see the ancient priory. If you’re a keen golfer, try the nearby Goswick Golf Club. 

Black Horse Farm Club Campsite

385 Canterbury Road, Densole, CT18 7BG

Set near the coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this site is a great spot for a relaxed country getaway. The local area offers a range of attractions, and it’s also an ideal location for one night stays on the way to or from the continent. There are some picturesque walking trails in the surrounding area, and Folkestone with its beaches and quaint streets is a lovely place to explore. Canterbury, with its ancient landmarks, numerous pubs and shops, is also worth a visit.

Black Knowl Club Campsite

Aldridge Hill, Brockenhurst, SO42 7QD

Located in the former royal hunting forest of William the Conqueror, Black Knowl has an open, peaceful aspect and wooded surroundings in which you can see deer roaming. It lies within walking distance of Brockenhurst, where you’ll find some good restaurants and takeaways, and opens onto over 140 miles of track on which you can walk, cycle or horse ride. On a rainy day, stay dry on a visit the Lyndhurst Museum or National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.

Blackpool South Club Campsite

Cropper Road, Blackpool, FY4 5LB

A level, open site in an area with a traditionally mild, warm climate. Britain's premier seaside resort provides non-stop amusement for the family from morning to night! Starting with the sands of course, and the famous illuminations (September to November) there is also Blackpool Pleasure Beach and The Tower. Nearby are the more relaxed towns of Lytham and St Anne's, famous for their golf courses and elegant shopping arcades.

Blackshaw Moor Club Campsite

Leek, ST13 8TW

Attractively laid out with spacious pitches set on terraces, this green site is set on the quieter, southern edge of the Peak District. The area offers some of the best walking routes in the region, on which you can enjoy the dramatic scenery. The town of Leek, with its cobbled streets and Victorian buildings, is ideal for a gentle stroll, while Bakewell and Buxton are a 20-minute drive away. Tittesworth Reservoir offers amazing walking, an adventure playground and a sensory garden.
